Frozen Ever After is purportedly the name of the new attraction in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. An art rendering of the ride appears above.
Maelstrom is a good ride, we will miss it. Did you know it is 27 years old? Check out the picture below and the haircuts and clothes will prove it’s age to you.
According to a Wall Street Journal article, the ride is not just a retelling of the movie but “a celebration of the characters, a way for guests who love the film to experience it in a completely different way.”
My suspicions were confirmed that the ride path will remain the same as Maelstrom. I think I am happy about this statement. Of course, the entire scenery along the way will be replaced and will include advanced audio-animatronic characters from the movie.
Disney was defensive about placing this fictional scene within Epcot’s World Showcase, which typically has been about the real life of the countries you are touring.
Personally, I find Epcot lacks enough attractions for the really young crowd and this is a welcome addition. I would like to see more attractions like this in Epcot.
