My Favorite Disney World Spots in Pictures

My first scene? Well, I’ve never actually seen this as it is from a long time ago, or at least I don’t recall it. But, an old fashioned ticket booth can’t be beat.

Take a moment and enjoy the view of Cinderella’s Castle.

Moving on, I prefer to move in a counter-clockwise direction… not sure why but that is just how I am.  This brings me to perhaps my favorite ride of all, Space Mountain.  Even the queue brings in some great music and positive energy, preparing me for my excursion into space.

Typically, I will knock out the rides around this, but for my visual journey we’ll skip right on to the New Fantasyland, which has always been my favorite section of the Magic Kingdom.  The classic Peter Pan is the highlight of this area, although it now has stiff competition from the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  So, both get pictured here.

Lunch time. Eat a quick bite and get back to the action. We like either the Pinocchio Village Haus – with a view of guests riding into It’s A Small World – or the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe with a fantastic toppings bar.  Both have a great atmosphere and quick and easy dining (if you can find a spot – try to eat a light breakfast and then eat an early lunch as close to 11:00 am as possible).

After a filling lunch, the best thing is to take it easy.  Scary won’t make you sick, so head to the Haunted Mansion.

I can’t resist the popcorn and snacks as you head into Frontierland, a quick boat ride or two and maybe some adventure on an island is followed up by the ride you must drag your kids on even if they are screaming (#DragYourKidsEvenIfTheyAreScreaming good hashtag, no? ) onto Splash Mountain.

Of course you have to hit Big Thunder Mountain, then time to cool off in the always fun Pirates of the Caribbean.  Go ahead, sing along.

A few additional attractions are nearby, around which you must – and I mean must – save time and space for a fantastic Dole Whip.

I hope you enjoyed my pictorial tour of a favorite day at the Magic Kingdom!

Will Harry Potter and Universal Harm Disney?

Just weeks away is a grand opening of Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Will this Orlando themed addition hurt Disney World? It has been some time since Disney has launched anything this grand. Individual attractions are brought on from time to time. But nothing with this kind of excitement has been heard in Disney for years. Will this push Disney to renovate, expand, or re-theme parts of its properties? Let me see some comments.
